Packing List for Quail Hunting
Quail hunting generally involves walking through high grass, and therefore packing should consider the possibility of snake, twisted ankles, and ticks.
Things to Think About
Dogs are a great addition to a quail hunt, assuming they are properly trained. Make sure you bring tweezers in case your dog gets into cactus.
Snakes are always a possibility when hunting, and you're more likely to run into them when covering a lot of ground through grass. Many people wear shin protectors which are a hard plastic that fits around the lower leg. If a snake strikes that area, you are protected.
Make sure to pack plenty of water, especially if it's particularly hot. Dogs need water, too.
